Our Alpengirl Camp Office Staff ~ A Team of 3

Alissa "Zeal" Farley (Camp Director, Founder).  Alissa started Alpengirl Camp in 1997 with 4 girls and a mini-van and she is the only year-round full-time employee in the Alpengirl office which is located in Bozeman, MT. Chances are pretty good that when you call Alpengirl, you'll talk with Alissa. Alissa "holds down the fort" in summertime - constantly communicating with staff, campers, camp parents, and outfitters via phone calls, emails, blogs, Facebook posts and visits to the field to adventure with campers.

Jenny "Jenanigans" Fiebig (Assistant Camp Director). Jenny was hired this year to assist Alissa in all camp operations and has added job duties that include preparing documents and manuals for American Camp Association accreditation as well as staff training and supervision. Jenny is working part-time in the Alpengirl office this winter/spring and is currently enrolled as a graduate student at MSU with a completion date this Spring. This summer Jenny will be working full-time in the office and in the field adventuring with campers and camp staff. 

Alyssa "The FAUM" Schmit (Office Assistant). Alyssa is usually called "FAUM" a long-lasting nickname that she earned as a camper at Alpengirl. To avoid confusion with Alissa (Camp Director) the FAUM name has stuck and many campers and fellow staff members only know her as FAUM. So, FAUM it is. She is an Alpengirl legacy fulfilled. She started as a camper at age 13, she was the camper that didn't really want to go to camp, but, her parents encouraged her and she ended up loving camp and stayed with Alpengirl for the next 10 years - she has been an Alpengirl camper, Alpenguide, Assistant Camp Director and Office Assistant. FAUM is currently pursuing her interest in baking pastries professionally and lives in Colorado. She works part-time for Alpengirl from her home base in CO and if you register for camp this summer, you'll likely receive a "welcome to camp" phone call from FAUM - she has been an Alpenguide on nearly every Alpengirl camp session and knows the trips better than anyone, if there was a vote for best all-time Alpenguide - she'd definitely be in the running!
