Scholarships - Alpengirl Summer Camp Scholarship
Thank you for inquiring about girls camp scholarships available to attend Alpengirl, Summer Adventure Camps for Girls!
Scholarships for Alpengirl are provided by The Burnt Lake Foundation (BLF). BLF is a non-profit 501C3 organization based in Denver, Colorado and is operated by a few volunteer board members.
- Call Alpengirl to determine if there is space available and to determine if the Alpengirl program is a good fit for your daughter.
- Submit the BLF scholarship application along with 2 reference letters as soon as possible after January 1st (keep a copy for yourself). NOTE: Notify Alpengirl as soon as your application is mailed so that we can follow-up with BLF on your behalf.
- Wait. The waiting time varies greatly. You may be notified by mail, email or phone as soon as a few days from submission or as long as a few months. The scholarship applications are reviewed after January 1st of each year by The Burnt Lake Foundation and selection of recipients is determined solely by The Burnt Lake Foundation. On average, scholarships awarded are 30-50% of camp tuition from BLF with an additional 10% from Alpengirl. However, scholarships may vary to any amount of tuition.
If you'd like to assure your space at Alpengirl is reserved PRIOR to being notified of your possible scholarship, you are required to register for Alpengirl camp online including the $600 deposit and ALL rules of registration are applied as normal.
If you are a recipient of a BLF scholarship, all other discounts given prior to the scholarship are void and you'll be invoiced or reimbursed accordingly.
Additionally, you are encouraged to apply for a $750 "Kid for the Wild" scholarship ~ a tribute to the memory and vision of Walkin' Jim Stotlz. Kid for the Wild Scholarship Application
