Day 1/6
Welcome to Wyoming!

Upon your arrival at Jackson Hole airport, your Alpenguides will warmly welcome you and we’ll travel by van together to our first evening's accommodation. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by the majestic Grand Teton mountains that make this region famous. Once we arrive, we’ll have time to relax and explore the area. Keep an eye out for moose, elk, deer, and bear - they love it here too!

In the evening, we’ll enjoy our first meal together, sharing stories and getting excited for the days ahead as we settle in for a peaceful night in the Tetons.
Floating in Grand Teton National Park

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head out for a scenic float through Grand Teton National Park. As we glide along the Snake River, you'll have the chance to take in a new view of the Teton Range and spot wildlife, such as osprey, bald eagles, and maybe even a moose or two.

As the day winds down, we’ll head over to Lander, WY to prep for our upcoming llama trek. We’ll go over the details, pack our gear, and get everything ready for the adventure ahead. Afterward, we’ll enjoy another delicious meal together.
Llama Trek in the Wind River Range

After breakfast, we’ll pack up and head toward the Wind River Range, where we’ll meet our llama outfitters and get everything rigged up for our adventure. With the llamas carrying our gear, we’ll begin our journey through this magnificent mountain range. As we trek through the Winds, we’ll pass by beautiful alpine lakes, jagged peaks that challenge mountain climbers, and pristine wilderness vistas. Keep your eyes peeled for Wyoming's tallest mountain, Gannet Peak, off in the distance. Along the way, we’ll hone our outdoor living skills, learning how to navigate and thrive in this remote environment with our new llama friends. Over the course of these three days, we will have covered between 16-22 miles of hiking!

After our final day in the Wind River Range, we’ll begin our journey back to Jackson. We’ll wrap up our adventure with a celebration of our time together over a farewell dinner, sharing our experiences and reflecting on the incredible adventures we’ve shared.
Time to Say Goodbye!

We’ll start off our final morning together with a restorative soak in the local hot springs to soothe our muscles that have worked hard over the past few days. After toweling off and packing up, we’ll head to Jackson Airport for your departure. After hugs and fond farewells, you’ll leave Wyoming with unforgettable memories, a sense of accomplishment, and a deeper connection to the Alpengirl community.

I’ve changed dramatically during my time at Alpengirl. I’ve become more outgoing, not so quiet, and a lot less shy. It’s easier for me to loosen up, have fun, and meet new people. I have definitely come out from behind my mom’s skirt. Finally.

This past summer at Alpengirl was a good experience for me, I met friends that I will have for the rest of my life, and I did things I never thought I could do. So, thank you for showing me that things that look impossible are only impossible in your mind, that I can do anything.
