Horse Packing Trip Success

Being in the backcountry was quiet and majestic. The group grew closer together bonding over their shared experiences of living without everyday amenities. Victoria helped cook a delicious pocket stew over the fire for our campfire dinner followed by s’mores! She has a great talent for cooking! Vanessa won the Alpenolympic talent show with her ventriloquist performance featuring a sock friend! Kate earned her fire head with a one match fire that then turned into our campfire dinner. Lia gave a great impression of her horse, Citrus, during our Alpenolympic horse impression completion. Mari, in earning her fire head, built a shelter from materials only found in the forest that even protected her from a rainstorm! Abby has been trying new foods everyday including oatmeal for the first time with tropical spices! Kennedy has been enjoying the beautiful views and commenting on how pretty the scenic stops on our day rides are. We spent a day ride along the CDT and were able to all be in 2 different states at the same time! Norah, as LOD, helped everyone set up and take down tents in order to get ready for sleeping. Tent mates changed on day 6 so everyone is now with new friends! Riley has learned how to purify water with aqua Mira, the purification system Alpengirl uses. We have survived rain and wind storms, but it’s always sunny in the morning for our Alpenyoga and breakfast! We are headed into Yellowstone Park today and will be camping in the Park tonight!
