Goodbye Missouri - Hello Hot Springs!

From MT Wild Canoeist I Alpenguides (Rose & Ellie): "Since our last blog we’ve paddled the final 18 miles of our section of the mighty Missourii and had many fun times along the way! The weather was not the best on one day of the trip, a smokey morning followed by a later afternoon very large, powerful dust and wind storm that came whipping down the river - we quickly "battened down the hatches" and sought shelter for an hour while storm subsided and it wasn't a highlight of the trip, but a memorable one and the alpengirls perservered and found a calmer evening that night and the weather the rest of the time was very good comparatively. We said goodbye to the river and our wonderful canoe guide, Heather. Since then, the girls have been working hard on their skill beads. Eleanor, Emery, and Lilliana led us in some fun and creative yoga poses including “squeezing the wag bag” and “Lilliana waking up”. Yesterday, the girls had lots of fun picking up some local Montana made crafts in Lewistown, MT ~ Ruby has been rocking gorgeous daisy earrings ever since! We celebrated Mels birthday last night with delicious cupcakes, and the birthday girl cooked us a yummy spaghetti dinner. Then we were dazzled by the girls during our alpenolympic talent show. Rolo, Ruby, and Amari performed a wonderful improv skit. Today we’re headed to soak in hot springs and take showers! The girls are so excited! After that we’ll pick up delicious pizza, eat dessert at a historic hotel in Three Forks, MT, and have our closing ceremony. Finally, we’ll head back to the Missouri Headwaters State Park (our first campsite of the trip) to close out our trip wiht a wonderful group of Alpengirls - thank you:)"
