Alpenguides - Summer 2023

Summer approaches with sunshine and warmth and we could not be more excited! The Alpenguides and Alpengirls are pulling it all together to make this the best summer ever. At this point you’re probably wondering about the outstanding guides who will be leading you this summer. Here’s a little teaser of some of the guides on our roster whose names start with “S” like.... Sunflower Sea Star! Sunflower Sea Star is at home on the coast but this yogini is balanced enough to find mountaintop pose on any expedition she leads. Skyelander takes the hot form of yoga to chill out before she takes on a rock wall for her next source of adventure and can teach campers all about sustainable farm operations. Sage is an expert canoe captain who can make any moment less dull; perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to be served a ketchup s’more this summer under her guidance! Splash emerged from the rapids (literally the daughter of a Grand Canyon river guide) and calls the PNW home when she’s not adventuring around the world. Space Station is a certified W-EMT who keeps things safe and fun scrambling around the mountains or talking stars and books with all in her orbit. Finally, Shooting Star began her celestial journey as an Alpengirl camper, and as an Environmental Studies major, she is stoked to share her love of the outdoors with the stellar Alpengirls on her trips. 

In other galactic news, we have added Gabatron as our Camp Co-Director! With plenty of expertise and enthusiasm to share with our Alpenguides and campers, you may be lucky to meet her at the airport or over the phone someday soon.
