North Cascades Alpengirls Doing Great

North Cascades Loop Adventure: These girls are doing great! They have experienced many different things at camp, from ever changing itineraries due to wild fires in area, and hot/dry/windy weather to cold and rainy weather to everything in between, and they have done well with all adjustments! Recently the group completed a fun and relaxed day of rock climbing near Mazama, a horse ride in Winthrop and a day of games and forest walks in Newhalem. The rafting trip had to be cancelled due to the poor conditions in the area of rafting, wild fires preventing the access, air quality and smoke, driving conditions etc made it impossible to think of attempting to go south of Winthrop into Leavenworth area.  Today the group is finally able to get some laundry done (hurray!!!!) and will greatly enjoy the shopping and phone call time from Anacortes where we are camped at Deception Pass. We'll have our closing ceremonies and awards tonight and girls will be back at the Seattle Airport tomorrow for departures. It's been a fun group and we'd love to adventure again with these girls next summer!
