The latest update from the WA Lil Alpengirls... they have enjoyed the beach backpacking and hang out days on the Olympic Natl' Park coastline and are now doing showers, have clean laundry and are enjoying Alpenwear fashion show and costume dinner with BBQ chicken subs, watermelon and a b-day dessert and celebration for Cora!
The highlights of the beach days were campfire and smores, fire beads earned (4 girls earned fire beads and started fires on 1st try!), some girls worked on cooking and shelter beads too while on the beach, and just being kids playing in the sand and jumping in waves with alpenolympic relay race and talent show night (girls sang songs, showed off their skills talking in funny languages, and played in skits), and a game of sardines and ninja and yesterdays LOD's were Sydney and Evie.The weather on the coast was gray but warm enough for shorts, t-shirts and playing in the water, no rainy days.
Today back inland the weather is sunny and the LOD's are Quinley and Rachel who will lead the group in fashion show and costume party tonight.
The Alpenguides report that the group is cohesive, gel well with one another, helpful to eachother, are eating well and are great at cheering eachother on.
The group is ready to backpack again tomorrow into the Hoh rainforest and this will likely be our final blog about the group,camp ends Sunday after another backpack trip and a final awards celebartion and soak at Sol Dic Hot Springs!
