Hey there, future adventurers! If you’re reading this, you’re gearing up for an amazing Alpengirl summer filled with fun, friendship, and, of course, outdoor adventures. Whether you’re flying in from across the country or across the world, there’s a lot to plan for to ensure your trip goes off without a hitch.
The good news? You’re not alone! Our team at Alpengirl is here to help you get to camp safely and smoothly so you can focus on the exciting adventures ahead. Let’s dive into the travel details and make sure your journey is just as fun as your time at camp!
What to Expect for Your Travel to Alpengirl
Campers come from all corners of the globe to experience the magic of Alpengirl, and for many, it’s their first time flying solo or heading off to a new adventure camp. That’s why we’re here to make your travel experience as stress-free as possible. Here’s what you need to know to make your trip a success:
- Review Travel Info Before You Go!
It’s always a good idea to review the travel details with your camper before they head out. This will ensure they feel confident and ready for the journey, plus, they’ll know exactly what to expect when they get to camp. Whether it’s a first-time flight or a road trip to the airport, preparation is key! - Travel Form Reminder
You’ll need to complete a Travel Form on your camper’s online portal, which will be reviewed by our team. We’ll check for any errors and let you know if there’s anything that needs to be corrected. But don’t worry! If something does go awry during the travel process, parents are responsible for any additional travel fees that might come up. - Questions? Our Travel Experts Are Here!
We know booking travel for minors can be a bit confusing (especially if it’s your first time), and that’s where our friends at Flightfox come in. Flightfox is a team of travel experts who can help you navigate the booking process with ease. Visit their page here to get started and fill out your travel form. They’ll take care of the details for you!
Special Travel Arrangements
If your camper’s travel plans don’t quite line up with our usual arrival and departure windows, don’t worry – we can help! If you need special travel arrangements, please call Alpengirl before booking to confirm availability. If we can accommodate your request, a $100 fee will be charged for this service.
International Travel
For international adventures, Alpengirl will provide personalized flight recommendations beginning in February in an attempt to help group campers on flights together where possible, while balancing cost and speed of travel (*flight recommendations are optional). Alpengirl will also be hosting monthly webinars on the third Wednesday of each month beginning in March to help prep campers with the tools they need for international travel!
