Known Superhuman Powers:

Just like the deep moss of the pacific northwest, Moss has a knack for bouncing back after soggy rainy days, and making the most out of any situation. However, this water-absorbing ability is both a blessing and a curse: Moss is compelled to jump into any body of water available—and is very good at convincing others to join her for even the iciest of dips. However, she is also one of the few holders of the secret recipe for the most-delicious sleeping bag-warming baby Nalgene drink, and has a sixth sense for knowing when you need a cup of tea or an extra cookie. Passionate about mindfulness and meditation, she is equally excited about reflection activities and silly group games. She will be there for you when you need her most, and is serious about ensuring everyone gets the warmth, compassion, and giggles they need at the end of a long day of type two fun.

Abilities:

Pointing out the most poisonous mushrooms and berries and talking your ear off about ants, fungus, and whales. Proud knower of 3 whole constellations and finder of perfect rocks.

History:

Moss grew up camping in her parents’ yellow ‘82 VW bus, mostly mushroom hunting and berry picking trips in the foothills of the North Cascades. She got into backpacking as a teenager and did a small section of the PCT with friends where she developed the lifelong goal of hiking the whole thing! Moved to Canada to study comparative religion for a few years, and worked on organic farms, in a goat cheese shop, as a birth doula, and for the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s youth outdoor program. She missed the mountains dearly after living in a snowy city for too long, so took a gap semester to backpack in the Western Himalayas in India, which led her to fully discover her passion for connecting people with the outdoors!

Current Base & Operations:

Montreal, Canada. Recently graduated from McGill University and is planning a cross country road trip to her next adventure when the summer ends!
