Known Superhuman Powers:
Cutting perfect microbangs at any given moment, setting up a tent blindfolded while reciting a stand up comedy set, finding moments of stillness and peace outside in every day, capturing the vibe effortlessly on my digital camera, and having no less than four chapsticks on me at all times.
Abilities:
Creating a fun and silly environment where we can all learn, grow, fail, and succeed together! You will also find me starting a song circle around the campfire with my guitar in hand, teaching card games with the light of one headlamp, and helping others form a symbiotic relationship with nature.
History:
I grew up in Jamestown, NY alongside my three sisters where we spent our time
running around barefoot in our backyard. I graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a degree in environmental design and have spent the last few years discovering my passions and chasing my dreams. I spent time working on an urban farm in Iowa, and grew a love for hydroponics, small scale agriculture, and environmental social justice. I made my way to California to spend a time in a conservation corps doing trail maintenance all over the state, and eventually made my way to Yosemite to be a full-time outdoor educator.
Current Base & Operations:
I currently work in Yosemite National Park as an environmental science educator, spending each day with students chasing waterfalls, looking for macroinvertebrates in the river, analyzing granite cliffs and rocks, and helping facilitate a connection to the beautiful spaces on this earth.
