History:
I grew up in Northeast Iowa, and I spent nearly all my childhood outdoors. I could often be found racing bikes with the neighbor kids, catching frogs in the creek behind my grandparents house, and in the woods behind my house hiking, exploring and building forts with my brother.
Growing up, my family would often travel to Midwest recreation areas. We spent many summer trips on the North Shore of Lake Superior, in the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota, and in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I have a special place in my heart for the Great Lakes, and attribute the development of my love of outdoor recreation to my first seasonal job in Northern Michigan in 2021. As beautiful as the rockies are, I will always have a special awe for the Lake Michigan blues.
After attending undergrad and graduate school, I was eager to venture out west in hopes of finding some good skiing. From random chance and connection, I ended up in Big Sky, MT and fell in love with the mountain culture and all the recreation it has to offer. I have worked for two seasons at the mountain as a children’s instructor and love having the opportunity to share my passion with the next generation.
Current Base & Operations:
I live in Bozeman and work during the winter as a ski instructor and college health dietitian!
